Anna Kraitz
Designer
Anna Kraitz was born in Ängelholm. She has an education from the Beckman School of Design – Stockholm 1997-1999, Pernbys målarskola (Pernbys School of Painting), Stockholm 1995-1997 and the Academy of Fine Arts – Budapest 1993-1995.
She has earned a large number of design awards, among them Designer of the year, Plaza magazine, Designer of the year Residence magazine, the Bruno Mathsson prize and and the Ljunggrenska designer prize.
Ania Pauser
Designer
has a bachelor degree as furniture designer from Carl Malmstenskolan, and today she runs her own design studio. She often finds the inspiration for her design in the deep fairy tale forest, among plants and animals. Patterns and pictures play a vital role in the works of Ania Pauser. Every object must have its own expression. – My design is for using and needs to have a good functionality but it also needs to stir emotions, she sais. Beisde rugs Ania Pauser designs furniture, lighting, toys and illustrations.
Barbara Hosak
FOUNDER
Barbara Hosak is the seventh generation in the textile industry. Her family, which ever since the 1750’s has worked in textile professions such as spinners, weavers, dessinateurs and textile creators, origins from Czechoslovakia, from the region known as Bohemia, which in the 19th century developed into an industrial centre in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire.
Brad Ascalon
DESIGNER
Brad Ascalon, earned a Masters degree for Industrial Design from New York’s Pratt Institute (2005), and opened the frequently award winning Brad Ascalon studio in Manhattan 2006. Brad is a third generation designer, who from an early age learned the values of craftsmanship, materiality and rigor.
Charlotte von der Lancken
INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER
Charlotte von der Lancken graduated as MA Industrial designer from University College of Arts Crafts and Design (Konstfack) in 2004. Upon that she established Front Design, which she chooses to leave in 2015 and to work independently with her own design studio. Charlotte works on an international scene with design and art. Her collaboration partners are in the field of furniture, interior decoration, fashion, PR etc. Over the years she has received numerous prestigious awards and prizes.
Daniel Lavonius Jarefeldt
Product designer
Daniel Lavonius Jarefeldt is a Stockholm-based product designer. He is educated at Lund University of Technology and University of Technology in Sydney.
For 10 years, he was involved in starting and running the product design studio at one of Sweden’s largest architectural offices.
Elin Tapper
Industrial designer
Elin Tapper is a trained industrial designer with a master’s degree from Lund University of Technology and currently runs her own design studio. Influenced by previous art studies, she combines an exploratory, sculptural work process with the industrial designer’s strategic approach and function-oriented focus.
Erika Lagerbielke
DESIGNER
Erika Lagerbielke was born in Stockholm 1960. She has an education from Konstfack in Stockholm in Industrial design, 1979 – 1983. Erika Lagerbielke is a renowned glass designer. One of her projects is the glassware that constituted the wedding gift from the Swedish parliament and government to the royal crown princess couple. Another well known series is the Orrefors Intermezzo, the wine glass with the blue drop.
Hans Hosak
FOUNDER
Ever since 1945 Hans Hosak worked in different wool- and rug factories in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In 1979 he started Brokmatt Design AB 1979.
Karin Mannerstål
DESIGNER
Karin Mannerstål was born in Finspång 1963, grew up in Karlskrona, and lives now since 30 years in Stockholm. Karin studied advertising at the Beckman School of Design between 1986 and 1989. She has become a well-know and popular face in Swedish television, above all as one of the hosts of “Äntligen hemma”.
Katrín Ólína Petursdottir
Designer
The intricacies of our universe and nature are subjects of the work of Icelandic designer Katrín Ólína Pétursdóttir. Her work has materialised in the fields of product design, fashion, interiors, furniture, jewellery, print and animation. She has created large immersive graphic installations at the National Gallery in Oslo and Reykjavik Art Museum and her graphic art has been commissioned for numerous hospitality and private spaces around the world. Tree, coat stand for Swedese remains one of her best known creations.
Roger Persson
Designer
Roger Persson born in 1967 in Karlskrona, trained as an industrial designer at HDK / Gothenburg University and has studied furniture design at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Since 2009 he runs his design studio Roger Persson Design, which designs furniture and other products – everything from lighting, switches to toys and bathroom furniture.
Sara Szyber
Industrial designer
Sara Szyberer is an interior architect and designer, graduated from Konstfack, who cooperates with design comåpanies and public institutions. Sara works primarily with furniture and product design and as acurator for exhibition projects.
The Swedes
Designers
The Swedes has its base in Stockholm, and since 2004 is a collaboration between the designers Jessica Fryklund, Jonas Wannfors and Love Neuschütz.
The design trio works according to the ambition to create intelligent and innovative products in a humanistic spirit. Examples of this are the carpet Birds Nest – a tree canopy for indoor use, and the carpet Soap – a bubble bath without water.
